Training camp was a time of spiritual growth and preparation for the Race, and a time to bond with our squad – I’ve talked about that already.  The training camp experience I have NOT talked about yet is the part where teams were assigned!  V squad is split up into teams of 6-7 people (you can check out all the awesome teams here) and I am proud to introduce my fellow teammates on team H.I.S.!  Our team name stands for Hope Is Sealed – a reflection of the incredible hope God has sealed within us to share with the people we will meet on the Race.  We are an unbelievably diverse crew and I am so very excited to see what God has in store for us.  The seven of us will be going out on the Race together, and I’m so eager to see how God uses us individually and as a team to bring His kingdom closer to Earth!

We are:

Our leader, Vanessa O’Neal

Rashida Brooks

Peter Cheang

Katie Eason

Renee Numan

Elizabeth Yates

With this announcement comes one other exciting piece of news: we have a launch date!  I will be gathering with the team on Friday, January 7 to board a plane headed for the Dominican Republic to start our ministry!  Our route has changed slightly and it may again before the Race is over, so the DR is our first stop and Haiti will be second.  Please continue to pray for us all as we approach this very exciting time.  We will all need financial support as well as prayer so please continue to consider how God wants you to partner with me in this mission.

Please share the word about this incredible opportunity to your friends and family – encourage them to sign up for this blog!
