So this month is coming to an end. And it will be one I will never forget. We have had so much support from everyone we have come in contact with this month. Everyone we meet is so interested In what we are doing, and so quick to help and give us lists of all their ministry contacts. We have met so many great people during this time it’s hard for me to tell you about them all, but I will highlight a few.

Mike- one of the first people we met in Zambia. He is living at the hostel we stayed at in Lusaka and welcomed us with the biggest smile I think I’ve ever seen. Everyday after we met he referred to us as his family and treated us like it. He gave us good contacts, taught us how to eat nshima, and gave us an incredible heartfelt goodbye our last night in the city.

Sydney – this man we met through Mike. If anyone was like a normal host to us this month it was Sydney. He gave us great contacts, invited us to church, showed us around town, and he treated us like welcomed family visiting Zambia. I am truly grateful for all of the help and love he shared with us.

Gordon- we also met Gordon one of the first days we arrived. He is a fellow American in his early 20s, a student at Yale, traveling around Africa doing some sort of research on vaccine delivery infrastructure. Gordon quickly became another member of the our team. Grocery shopping and eating with us. It was a pleasure to have met and talked with him about various things.

Mustafa- another resident of the hostel. He was super friendly. He is from Tunisia and is working in Zambia for 3 months with a cell phone company. He cooked the best grilled chicken I have ever had, PERIOD. It was an honor to learn how to BBQ the African way.

Mallory- the receptionist of the hostel. She was in the Peace Corps for 3 years but has lived in Zambia for 5 now. So friendly and helpful, she always had the best info on travel, food and lodging. She made our lives so much simpler with the wisdom she passed along to us.

Pastor Banda- I talked about Pastor Banda in my last blog. He has such a kind, giving, faithful heart. It was such an honor for him to invite us to visit God at Work and to invite is into his home for lunch. It was a pleasure to have met such a faithful man and I can’t wait to see how God uses his ministry in the future.

These are just a few of the many people we met this month. Each one had an impact on our stay and our success. This month, we made contact with over 20 ministry’s here in Zambia and are submitting 11 new contacts to AIM. Overall, this month was a huge success on many different levels. I will continue to be in prayer for all the ministries and people we met and pray that we will meet again in this life or the next.
