I am just a week out from Training Camp. My yard sale went well. I made over $2000 for the World Race. People just kept coming and they had similar interests as me, so my stuff sold well. Many thanks to the people who donated items for me to sell…..

I could not finish the blog I started.

I have been thinking what to write today. other than my yard sale doing well, i couldn’t think of anything. My mind keeps going back to the news I got this morning. one of our fellow F Squad members, Anastasia Sloan, was killed in a car wreck last night. We are all shocked and unsure what to think or say. I am sure that her family and friends are quite devastated. She was only 23.

Just the other day I was sharing her newest blog about getting ready for a yard sale. She had over 100 pairs of shoes to sell. Haha. i cannot believe she is now gone. I had not met her, but i was learning about my fellow squad mates before Training Camp. She had a great smile. She was ready to commit a year of her life to ministering to the world.

What do we take from this tragedy? We have no idea how long our lives on this earth will last. We need to do as much as we can with our brief time here. To make this life meaningful for eternity. Anastasia is now in heaven rejoicing with Jesus. The next person you see could die just like that. What did you do to make it so they will be rejoicing in heaven too?

We are weak, but HE is strong.

Rejoice In Paradise Anastasia. I hope we run this race well, and thank you for your smile.

This verse was taken from her blog “Why the World Race?” – However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24.

Let us testify for you this next year.
