Our YDC Family!!! I was blessed by each one of these wonderful people on a daily basis.

While at the YDC we taught five english classes and Laura taught two guitar classes… as you can see my english class incorporated some sign language, they learned 2 songs in less than a month and were well into their third song when my time there was up.  I loved all of the time that I got to spend with my students.

(Thanks Samie for the pictures of me and my class!!!)

One day we got to go to the island just off of Kapomg Cham to pray over the island, the boat pictured below is the ferry that we took to and from the island.

While walking through the island we were invited to sit in the shade to cool off with this family and were able to visit for quite a while and share with them.

The ride back from the island 😀

42 Houses

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday my team went to 42 houses, a small village near the outskirts of town where we got to play with the kids, bathe them, brush their teeth, comb and braid their hair, and paint the girls finger nails.

So….. these images make me smile so I had to separate them out.

Razmin is a christian lady that lives in the village with her husband and son (David) who has started helping out with song time, and feeding the kids.  She was even able to join our team and YDC family for Thanks Giving!

Every time we went to the village Kimsreoun or Rachna would care, pray for and talk to a lady in the village that is paralyzed.  The first picture below is Kimsreoun cleaning her mat for her, her house is the one in the back lefthand corner of the second picture.

One site that we saw every time we went to the village was the older children going through the younger children’s hair picking out lice.  Sometime you would see adults doing this for the children as well.

When we first started going to the village the kids would watch the singing and sometimes join.  Stephanie used her gifts and got the children involved in the songs and showed them joy in singing and how much fun that it can be when you participated. By the time we were leaving you could tell that the kids looked forward to song time with her and they loved her “Singing in the Rain” song.

There were always a few kids that just needed to be held so the rest of us would hold them and try to participate and encourage the kids as much as we possible.

Meal time!!!!

As you might imagine we saw more children during lunch than other time during our visit.

Matthew 19:14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven”
