Thank you everyone for your continual support! Good news for some of you… as you can tell, I’m not great at updating my blog… but I have discovered that I love to make videos! I’m currently in the process of finishing up my first video ever! Don’t expect big things month 1, but by the time month 11 rolls around I’ll basically be famous.

I plan to make one every month in hopes of making up for my lack of journaling and blogging skills. This way you get to see how your support helps and you get a look into the lives of those we are working with.

I’m excited to share our experiences with you!

Until then, here are a few thoughts of mine and some p-i-e-c-e-s of what I have learned…

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

No man is capable of unconditional love. We are all sinners and therefore we are not perfect.

Unconditional love is perfect and we are therefore not capable of it.

Unconditional love is one way. The only one capable of something so perfect is The Perfect One himself. No matter what we do He still loves us.

In reality, this is all we need. Many people will turn their backs on us as we go through life, and unfortunately, we will do the same to others. Grace is given here and there but nothing near the Grace that God shows.

People say “you love me and I’ll love you back” “you get what you give” “you do that and I’ll leave”.

God says he will never leave nor forsake you.

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!”
Isaiah 49:15

People are only willing to go so far to meet us. God goes all the way. He pursues us. We may turn against him and he still looks at us in love. We may choose our own desires above his. He still loves us. We could be angry at him. He still loves us. We could be in a web of mess and self destruction. He still loves us. We could feel so incredibly disgusting yet He looks at us and sees a child that could never do something so bad to make Him stop loving us.

We can’t even comprehend this. It’s out of our realm of understanding. We can experience something close when we experience Grace through others. We will go through life and wrong a number of people. It is up to that person how they handle it. Forgive and show Grace or harbour those angry feelings. We don’t deserve the Grace but oh how lovely when we receive it!

God does this every day no matter what. Again and again. This is unconditional love. No strings attached. No transaction.

Isn’t is great that the best thing we can possibly have in this world doesn’t have a price tag? It’s free and there is nothing we can do to earn more of it.

It’s already there.
