Hey everyone! My name is Diamond. I am 22 years old. I grew up in Monticello, Kentucky, a small southern town where sweet tea and y’all are used frequently. I love the lake and anything to do with the outdoors. I love to work out. I love sports. I love spending time with friends and family. I’m passionate about making connections, therefore, I’m not much on small talk. I would much rather dive in deep and learn about your struggles, successes, and the things that made you who you are.
Fortunately, I grew up in a Christian home where going to church on Sunday was not an option. My parents are Christians along with most of my family. However, I did not decide to fully surrender my life to Jesus until I was 15. Several months later my parents felt the Lord leading them to go on a mission trip to Guatemala. It was here that I found the Lord cultivating a strong desire in my heart for foreign missions. As time progressed my heart began to grow more and more fond of people groups around the world that I hadn’t even met, I knew that this could only be the mere tug of my sweet, sweet, friend Jesus. Since then He has taking me to Jamaica, the mountains of Peru, and the wide open plains of Uganda, Africa. God truly does use the ordinary to do the extraordinary.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus through-out all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
The Lord has taught me that through Him I am worthy, accepted, and I am heir to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am capable with Him who does His good work through me. He has most assuredly called me to something greater than my-self and for that I am beyond humbled that He chose me, an ordinary person, to do His extraordinary work. I am more than excited to have you along for the journey by being in persistent prayer, being a vessel for His kingdom, and by being a big asset to proclaiming the good news amongst the nations.
