Here’s a funny story for you:
The kids had session with us twice a day. That usually looked like 2-4 songs, a memory verse and a fun teaching or demonstration to go along with it and a craft. Every evening it was Camp Champ Challenge where the boys would compete against the girls to win that evenings prize. We had many laughs seeing how competitive the kids would get sometimes. There was also a quiz to see who would remember what they had learned earlier in the day during the morning session. These kids are adorable as well as challenging. They’ve also made us laugh all week and we just love them. They’re incredible, you just need to know that. I can’t explain to you how amazing they are and how much I’ve fallen in love with all of them.
(Calvin & I at Glendalough on one of our daily adventures! He loves Ben 10. Its a show about a boy who can turn into 10 aliens)
The 10 Commandments was our theme for the week and for the quiz we asked the kids “Why is it important to obey God’s commands?” A few of the kids gave random, silly answers and then a cute little boy named Calvin smiled shyly, raised his hand and quietly answered “Because He’s the King.” That just melted all of our hearts. Then a boy named Bradley (who has been our class clown all week, is hilarious, always has something to say and we love him for it) threw up one of his hands and yelled out in his little Irish accent “Why didn’t I think of that?!?!” It was like a light had gone on in his head and the answer had been so obvious. He was incredulous and it was hilarious. The best part of it was that in Ireland, they don’t really say the “th” sound, so it was more like “Why didn’t I tink of dat?!?!?” We roared with laughter and I promise that we’ll be saying as an inside joke among our team all year.

And now you know the joke too, so you can laugh along if you ever hear us say it. You can even do it too, as long as its complete with the hand motion. But ONLY with the hand motion, we will be watching you. We’re World Racers and we’re everywhere.
Get excited. =D
