Here’s a message one of my Irish friends typed up for me. He wrote it in Gailege/ Irish

Dia Duit!
Conas Ata Tu? Ta suil agam go bhfuil tu go maith. Ta me I mo chonai baile Atha Cliath.
Ta an aimsir an dona ach ta me go maith. Is brea leat.
Dez!

And this is the English translation:

Hey!
How are you? I hope all is well. I’m here living in Dublin, The weather is bad but yet I’m good. I love you all.
Dez!

I wouldn’t really say the weather here is bad. It rains often and its definitely pretty cold at night, especially for summer time in August. But when the sun does come out its gorgeous and really nice.  Ireland is beautiful. It really is a different kind of green here and I love it!

When we first arrived in Dublin for our Launch Training Camp (training before we officially head out onto the Race and begin our ministry), we camped out and pretty much took over part of the campground. The World Race had descended! This is bit of a glimpse of what my life will look like over the next year. Take a look at my new house!  Here’s some pictures!  Enjoy!

Tent City! The World Racers have arrived!
Tent City! (and this isn’t even everybody!)

                           livin' in tent city!
In tent city after the rain. As you can see, I haven’t had too much sleep. But I’m adjusting to this new life!

I love my tent! Its the MSR Hubba Hubba and no, they did not pay me to advertise, I just really love it. One night during Launch training camp it was pouring rain and the wind was fierce and blowing real hard but my tent was incredible! It stayed up and I woke up completely dry! I didn’t even have a footprint tarpe to go underneath! It was definitely a good buy! Its also quite easy and quick to set up. I was impressed and it made me look really tent/camping savvy and I’m definitely ok with that! (^_^)

I hope I’ve inspired you to go camping today! So get out there, enjoy God’s wonderful creation, have some fun and brave the elements! Its really not so bad!

 Slan mochara!

(thats Irish for “goodbye friends!”)
