“Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground; yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.”

 Job 5: 6-7

As the sparks fly upward one looks fixedly into the eyes of the less fortunate. Shall they flare into a beacon of light, or bare the emblazoned kindle of plight? A people charged with more than just the good fight, the fight for moral right; no amidst a wretched sight a population of people stand upon the battleground of life.Fairness is a tricky game and I do not claim nor aim to know the morality of God, yet I find my mind often ventures in thought. If man is born to trouble it seems as if some are birthed with double. I am called to travel and bring the good news yet some are frozen trapped in the blues. A smile may light up the face of a child for a while, but they still have to go home. A wink can bring joy to a mom along with a sense of calm, until the thrill succumbs to the reality of reality. I’m powerless without your holiness God. I can’t even communicate but by action so how do I express this splendid mess we call love? I do not want to be a temporary pleasure, but by your measure an eternal treasure. Is all vanity (Ecclesiastes1)? Do I simply add wishful winking and a smile to hopeful thinking for a while, and expect a solution to a ship that’s sinking?

“Surely I wish to speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue and reason my case with God [that He may explain the conflict between what I believe of Him and what I see of Him].”

Job 13: 3

As the sparks fly upward I wink. I smile. I play for a while… I pray for a day they can redeem the token you’ve paid, but the symbols upon their coins tell of other ways. Spirit houses protect their homes, about as well as ancient Rome…but we are not talking about statues, mind you… To have never heard a holy song or the whisper of a gentle sweet psalm leaves me to wonder, God where have you gone? I mean they know of ancestral spirits, just name it and fear it, Buddha, Muhammad, probably a celestial comet, but what of love in a Shakespeare sonnet? He who came down from above and rose from the ground? The suspender of natural laws and bearer of the crown? Where are you Oh, Lord? Your people do not suffer from pestilence or sword, but of a revelation restraint. A taint of idols paint the land, why are you sitting idle? There are more people trafficking sex than worshipping the king. Can you hear Bangla Road sing cries of pain while we scream for skies of holy rain? Are you listening?  Sea gypsies stranded upon land have somehow missed your graceful hand and now live without hope among the barrenness of the sand. Listen up, Listen up… if that’s not enough the tsunami of 04′ has left families broken and poor, orphans galore, so open the door, more and more we need you Lord.

“I would seek unto God, and unto God Would I commit my cause; which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number: who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth water upon the fields: to set up on high those that be low; and those that mourn may be exalted to safety.”

Job 5: 8-11

As the sparks fly upward I commit unto thee that which is unseen. May every team beam your light so bright as to transcend the knowledge of men. Suspend the natural and within the actual send rain upon the earth. May your living water bring spiritual birth, and your love be the anchor of self worth. The hope of your glory shall tell the story forever and ever before me. We love you Jesus! We are not afraid, release your glory and allow it to parade declaring the debt of which you’ve long ago paid.

Show us you’re Glory

I want to see your glory God

Pave Bangla Road with your Glory

Immerse the sea gypsies in the salt of the earth

Cast out idols and proclaim your name

We need you Lord

Show us your glory

We’re not afraid

I’m not afraid…

” 26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” Colossians 1: 26-29

“But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.”

Psalm 71: 14
