Recently I have felt in my prayers God speaking a truth into our generation.
As I prayed thoughts of my mother’s generation entered my mind.
I’ve seen a generation whose curse and struggle is divorce and heart break. So many women and men in their 50’s and 60’s facing loneliness and abandonment after raising kids.
Then I look at my personal perspective of my own generation; world changers, activist, love seekers. Hesitant to settle down, but believers in healing and restoration of love.
“Your generation will pray healing into the past and love into the future.” God seemed to say to me…
For some of us, our ministry now includes a new type of ministry I like to call “Parent Healing Ministry”. It’s going to be hard, it defies the very nature of the hierarchical system of our needs for nurture. But, I am starting to believe our generation will start to have a new view of family when we start praying restoration over the hearts of our parents.
“You will go back into the darkness of the valley, with my love as your protection, and guide those who were put in dominion over you back into my embrace through healing.”
We have to turn back and chase our parents with the Love of God. We will be the generation that brings whole-ness to family and love.
I believe our pursuit will change our love in the future and restore what has been taken from our parents and ourselves.
