It started with a thought…

That led to a prayer…

That led to a mission…

To travel the world…

To serve and minister to the least of these…

11 months…

11 countries…

Amazing Grace…

Never Ending Hope…

Everlasting Love…

This is my story…

As I Journey through the nations…

And work to make the world a better place…

Jesus said “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20

So I go…

This is my story…

So you want to know how I learned about the world race, and why I am going…

I’ve got to tell you it was happenstance (or divine intervention) more than anything.

I’ve always felt called to Ireland. Even as I child of five or six I would sit and watch Michael Flatley’s Feet of Flames for hours and dream of the day that I would stand on the emerald isle.

So I was looking online for a mission trip that would take me there.

What I found was the world race!

Of course being $15,500 plus insurance, expenses, and gear was a bit of a deterrent. As was the eleven months away from home.

…but Gods ways are not our ways.

In any case I couldn’t stop thinking about it… like that song you only know the one line to that seems to play endlessly on repeat in your brain.

I couldn’t stop thinking about the world race and I didn’t know why…

So I prayed about it

and for the first time in my life God spoke directly to me! As I prayed about whether or not the race was even an option for me I asked God whether I should stay or go. God said “what does your heart say” I replied “well it says to go” God replied “then go”, and so I go.

I may not be going to Ireland but I am doing the will of God and that is what is important.

So… where are you running?
