He once told me He would make me a "fisher of men", and then He called me away.
He instructed me to take that leap of faith on into the deep where it was no longer safe.
He called me away from the safe harbor to fly off into the sunset.
As He did, and as I flew, He brought new faces in my life whom I'd grow to love and have deep relationship and community with.
My eyes have beheld beauty in every place, and I've seen His face displayed in every race.
I have been able to travel many places in the world on this great adventure to bring hope to the hopeless, and rest to the weary. Peace and comfort to the lost and abandoned, and joy to the children and the widow. Sometimes I am a smile that dries tears, other days I am a hug that silences fears. Many times I am an extra set of hands to make light work. My mission is simple and my talk is plain. I need your help here to remain.
My journey isn't over just yet, really it's just the beginning..
This journey has to do a lot with learning how to love.
-How to love Jesus a little bit more
-How to love myself, and become self aware rather than self conscious
-How to love people: the community I come from, the community I get to do life with now, and the community I will have in the future..
-This journey teaches you how to love people from all races, every culture with no prejudice.
-These past few months I have had the privilege to learn to love outrageously.
