Hey there!

My name is Destiny (my poor kids and the jokes that will ensue) and I have lived the majority of my life in Georgia. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada while both my parents were in the air force and we quickly made our way south a few weeks after that so Georgia feels more like home than anywhere else.

I became a Christian the beginning of my junior year in high school. I had “tried out church” in 8th grade but mostly in hopes to get in with the “cool” crowd and to make some friends. After a couple months of going to youth group I quickly realized that not only was it not going to make me “cool”, that most of the kids weren’t there to experience anything. I firmly believe the time was used to plant seeds in my heart and life. Fast forward to junior year, after being invited to a vineyard youth group several times, (and making excuses for why I couldn’t come) I decided to go. It was the perfect recipe and I feel God had been preparing my heart for that specific time. The gospel was preached and my heart arrested, I believe something truly spiritual happened that night. Since then, my life has never been the same and I have not looked back.

I was at church every time the doors were open after that. Hungry and wanting more I served anywhere they needed me too. I opened the café and cleaned, I helped out the secretary at the church, anything I could do to be around it. After some time and helping out in other forms of evangelism I helped start up a ministry doing servant evangelism ie; mowing yards, cleaning toilets, passing out free water to spark conversations and display the love of God in a tangible way. Never thinking about going out of the states I always figured my next door neighbors needed to know the love of God so I was surprised what happened next…

My friends and I took a road trip to a One Day conference where Beth Moore gave a call to “go”, a call to the nations. As she called out countries and people stood around me answering the call to go I sat watching and then a funny thing happened when she called out Australia and I felt the strongest nudge to stand up. I refused, several times but then stood to my feet. We drove back and I forgot all about it.

A few months go by and all of a sudden Australians are coming into the café where I work, Australia is popping up in magazines, on television and I feel the nudge to look into opportunities. A few of my friends had done YWAM (youth with a mission) and as I looked at bases, the Brisbane base really stuck out to me. I applied, was accepted and after amazing provision from God ended up doing my DTS (discipleship training school) out there and went to outreach in Malaysia. God rocked my world, healing and setting me free from so many wounds and things that held me back and I LOVED my time in Malaysia. Through a series of events I ended up coming back from my DTS to Georgia and took off about 7 months later to plant a YWAM base in Byron Bay, Australia. I spent 2 years there doing all kinds of amazing outreach to backpackers and staffed a backpackers DTS where we went on outreach to Fiji. 2 years to the date I flew back to Georgia (when I heard the call to go back out to help pioneer the base, I heard a date and two years) and began working at a restaurant.

Since then I have lived in a few different places and am currently managing a mom and pop restaurant! I am ready for whatever God has for me. I have always known the nations were in my future but not ever sure how it was going to look or play out.
