Can you believe that I am just about half way finished with this journey?? I know that I can’t! It’s ridiculous how fast it has been flying by, though there are moments of sluggy-ness 🙂 With it being half over, that means my final financial deadline is quickly approaching – July 1st!
By then the money in my account, plus the money that people have already pledged monthly through October (or maybe even November) needs to be $14,300!! The amazing news is that God has already provided so much of that money through people I’ve never met and family and friends. As it stands right now, I only need to raise an additional $1,849!!!!! I know it still sounds like a lot BUT compared to the $14,300 I initially had to raise it’s nothing 🙂 I really wish that I was at home and could throw together another couple fundraisers for myself and find more things to sell but that’s just not the way God wanted it to work out. I”m sure that there are still T-Shirts for sale, you can contact my Mom about those ([email protected])!
It’s amazing the impact that we have just by showing up and visiting these places. Every place we go the children pretty much stand at the door waiting for us to get our packs out of the truck. Even though they are often shy at first, their smiles go on for miles. The joy that they have when they are just allowed to be children. It’s such a beautiful thing to help them find hope and light and joy in the small things that are around them daily.
