I was listening to my music this morning and came across this song “One day to late” by Skillet. I was in the process of uploading pictures, but the words really caused me to pause or a moment. One of the things I have been learning about this month is that tomorrow is never garunteed for any of us and thus it’s not worth holding on to regrets or grudges. There is also a sense of urgency for helping those who have no food, or who are sick, or who have no home; after all treatment, food and housing for them today could allow them to live longer.  It’s just not worth it. Tell them you love them now, help them get food today, show them someone cares today, make the phone call, write the e-mail, volunteer at the shelter, invite them to lunch or dinner, go have coffee, take that step of letting go, forgive, be forgiven, show grace & mercy, be the peacemaker, confront the addiction, give them a hug, share a simple hello or a smile, whatever it is don’t wait until tomorrow. How many times can you put off today before you run out of tomorrows?
