Oh Really. What About College?

As a senior in Highschool, and telling others about this amazing adventure I have been called to go on, every single time they will say “Oh really ! What about college? As a senior, everyone’s main focus is getting into the college they dream of, while mine is different. My main goal is improving my relationship with God and being able to serve him through an opportunity I have been called to take on. With that being said when telling someone my plans, some may not be so supportive or say that it is impossible to raise that much money for something that doesn’t make sense to them. Being a Christian and trying to explain to someone who has no idea about missionary work or doesn’t see the point of it is a challenge within itself, but it’s all apart of the journey ! When they ask you about it, it is a chance to share your faith to someone and could impact their life deeply. Also always remember everything is possible through God, Love and Faith, and I know that this process of fundraising and everything else this trip will put me through is meant to get me out of my comfort zone so I am able to trust God.

I knew that this trip was going to be a challenge that God wanted me to do, with alot of prayer and support ,I felt the Holy Spirit come over me one night I just had to fill out that application to take it on, I did and interviewed and this is now where I am. When your thinking about how most of your friends will be attending college while I am overseas somewhere impacting someones life with the love of God, I know that this is the right choice and I have no doubt this is what i am supposed to be doing.
