I always used to hear the phrase: Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. Of course, we know that the correct conclusion is that Jesus is Lord. But if there is one thing I’ve learned in El Salvador, it is that God is pretty crazy, too. In fact, it’s absolutely insane how crazy God is!
It’s crazy that some of my best friends at this base, who I have had incredibly deep and meaningful conversations with, speak very little English.
It’s crazy that I’ve gotten to spend two weekends on a beautiful beach this month.
It’s crazy that Stacie, Mollie, and I got treated to a wonderful dinner in a treehouse looking plaza on the side of a volcano.
It’s crazy that I God tells me I can ask for anything in His name and authority and He will give it to me.
It’s crazy that I can ask God for $25,000 to pay for school loans, KNOWING He is going to provide in crazy, miraculous ways because I want the freedom to serve Him.
It’s crazy that I get to pray with prostitutes, children who have been hit by cars, and random people in the park.
It’s crazy that after talking with a man named Oscar for 5 minutes, God radically changed his heart and he decided NOT to kill his invalid and sick mother whom he cannot provide for.
It’s crazy that I get to use what I’m learning to minister to my friends and family back home.
It’s crazy that I am already planning my trip back here.
It’s crazy that we have been given ALL AUTHORITY in heaven and earth, and we literally walk with the power of God.
It’s crazy that multiple people with no connection to each other have told me that God has shown them that I am going to get a great gift, and God is going to blow my mind this year (bring on the crazy!)
And all this is just a tiny piece of what has happened in JUST MONTH THREE! Crazy things have been happening every day of the race. And all I had to do, and keep having to do, is say YES.
Say yes to God. Whatever He is asking you to do, be bold. SAY YES.
He wants to take you on an incredible journey. He wants to bless you. He wants to show you CRAZY things. He wants to do crazy things through you. Will you let Him? Will you do what he say, no matter how crazy His plan seems? Are you brave enough to ask Him for crazy things? Will you say yes?
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.” (John 14:12, 13 NLT)
“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” (John 15:7 NLT)
