The whole “get to know me” part…

I am twenty-one years old, the daughter of the most in-love couple on earth, the sister of two incredibly talented, wise, loving, and generous brothers, and the honored sister-in-law of my brothers’ beautiful wives. I studied Pre-seminary Bible at Cedarville University, where I developed a love for Greek, theology, story, writing, and speaking life into people. I also developed an appetite for goofing off and distracting myself from my studies. Eventually I would like to write a series of books that mixes devotionals with commentary studies so that people who aren’t enrolled in Bible classes can easily study the scriptures in an in-depth, hands-on way. I would also love to use art and story to explain who God is to those who don’t know him. As I strive towards those goals, my heart’s desire is simply to live in community and look a little more like Jesus every day. Easier said than done.

In my free time I dearly love to laugh, dance, smile, sing, play games, read books, hear stories, make crafts, cook, eat, watch movies, hike, visit zoos, write, explore, pet puppies, travel, watch fireworks, and spend time with wonderful people. I started ballet when I was three years old and have since added modern and contemporary to the mix. There’s nothing I like more than dancing around, whether it be in the silliness of my living room or during a performance on stage. Being involved in dance has drawn me into other areas of the arts and fueled my hunger for creativity. I think life is meant to be exciting and creative, because we have a creative, exciting God who made it so!

I’m an East Coast girl. I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA and proud of it. I love the quick-pace and fast-talk of the East Coast; however, I’ve also learned to love the peace of silence and solitude over the years. Although I love my hometown, I am not one to stay put in one place for very long. I moved to Ohio for college (what was I thinking???), spent one semester studying in Australia, and now I am going around the World! I love this journey that I am on, and I can’t wait to see all the places God takes me. I have a feeling he will take me on adventures I could dream up on my own!

I could probably keep going on and on and on about myself, because let’s face it, it’s a subject I know well. But I highly doubt you have the attention span to keep reading or that you’re all that interested in the first place. If you are, props to you! Keep reading my blog and along the way you will learn loads more about my messy, broken, beautiful story. Hopefully by the end of this missionary journey you will also see an extensive amount of transformation in my heart, mind, and spirit, because Lord knows I need it.
