Dearest Family and Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to take the time to write to you, and let you know what has been going on in my life recently. Over the last couple of months I have been longing for something more in my life as though something has been missing. After finally landing an awesome job I still felt unsettled. What I would find next was far from my own imagination. I had wanted to go on a mission trip for a while, and was able to have the opportunity to serve short term in Puerto Rico. This trip was a catalyst to an even bigger call God placed on my heart.

Beginning in January I will be serving as a missionary through an organization called Adventures in Missions, on a missions trip called the World Race. This is an 11 month long mission trip to 11 different countries around the world including Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, China, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, and India.  This trip is an opportunity for me to grow in my own faith while being used as God’s light to the unreached all over the world. My team will be partnering with churches and ministries in local communities to love orphans, outreach to communities, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, and restore faith and hope in desolate communities.

This is an overwhelming opportunity that I never could have dreamed up, but anticipating what this next chapter of my life entails brings me joy. I know that when God calls us to do something He is faithful to provide everything we need to answer His call. I am writing to you to pray about walking this journey with me prayerfully and financially. With the help of many, I need to raise $16,285 which will cover all expenses on the field including travel, supplies, insurance, transportation, food, and lodging. This does not include personal items and vaccines.  Asking you to partner with me is a humbling experience because I know it is impossible for me to do this on my own.  It is my prayer that this trip is one that we can walk together as a group each playing a role in the amazing things that Christ is going to do on this trip.  I don’t know how the Lord is going to provide for me, but I do know that he will.  If 50 people pledge to $30 a month for 11 months, I will be fully funded. Or if many people chose to give a one-time gift I would be many steps closer to my goal.

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope inviting you to participate in this journey with me.  Please make check payable to Adventures in Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide you with the information to send you a receipt for your donation.  Please let me know if you decide this method so I can let AIM know to be able to track my donations since it takes a bit longer for checks to clear. If you would prefer to make an online donation, you may do so by visiting my blog at: daynascavelli.thewordrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page. (Online donations are preferred to get things started).

I want to thank you for your love and support in whatever way you feel led to. I could not have gotten this far without your support already, and that means so much to me. 🙂

With Love,

Dayna
