Hey, I just wanted to take a minute to update everyone with where I am with everything.
Financially:
God has blessed me with so much when it comes to fundraising already! I cannot thank Him enough for his faithfulness. The trip costs $15,500. I now know that the travel insurances costs like $784. That now puts the price up to right at $16,290… With that being said, once a few last donations are accounted for, I am right at $14,000!!! PRAISE GOD! He is so so good. BUT, I am seeking to be fully funded before we launch. NO, that is not necessary, but YES that would be so beneficial. Why? If I am funded before we leave that will A) prevent the stress of having to fund raise while gone, but more importantly B) if I am funded then I can help support raise for my squad mates who may be struggling to meet deadlines! We launch in about 5 weeks. That is the beginning of September! Help me raise $2,400 by then! By giving you are blessing me. By blessing me I can help bless another squad mate. By blessing another squad mate you are allowing us to vanquish the darkness! We are able to carry the good news of Jesus Christ to hurting people all over the world. I NEED YOUR HELP!
Emotionally:
I AM READY TO GO! I will miss family and friends, but I am excited to see where God takes me on this unfathomable journey. I am ready to get to know my new family. My squad and team make me so happy and absolutely ready to go. I think it will get more real the closer we get to leaving. I am still trying to process leaving all habits, customs, traditions, comforts, and routines behind. I cannot make since of it all, but I think that is a good thing. God is simply calling me to go!
Spiritually:
HE WANTS TO USE ME!! After training camp, I have never experienced so much joy in my life. I am at peace with everything. I am confident leaving this lifestyle behind, because I know what God is calling me towards. I know without a doubt that this IS where He wants me. It will be hard and I do not know how to prepare, BUT I think God is telling me just to be prepared to be prepared. I am truly starting to see God for who He says He is! I know that even in my darkest and weakest hours, that He is with me! He is my strength. He just wants me to lean on Him. He will not lead me astray. He will not abandon me. My God will not fail! HE WANTS TO USE ME! He wants to use me to SHINE HIS LIGHT IN THE DARKEST CORNERS OF THE EARTH. He wants to use me to CHANGE THE WORLD. He wants to use me to BRING HOPE TO THE HOPELESS. He wants to use me to PREACH THE GOSPEL. He wants to use me to BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. He wants to use me to BREAK EVERY CHAIN. He wants to use me to LOVE OUTCASTS. He wants to use me to SHELTER ORPHANS. He wants to use me to FREE THE OPPRESSED. He wants to use me to HOLD THE FATHERLESS. He wants to use me to HEAL THE SICK. He wants to use me to BRING HIM GLORY!!!!
