This month we are partnering with the ministry COTN (Children Of The Nations.) They do alot of work here in the local villages. This month we have several opportunities to work along side of the college age interns here, helping better the conditions of Lilongwe, Malawi. There is a ministry call the Crisis Nursery which is a home that takes in babies between the ages of 0-2yrs old, that have been abandoned and left for dead, or whose parents have died and there are no other family members to take care of them. The house, and its workers, feed and take care of these kids until they are past the “crisis” time in there life when they have to be bottle feed.

We also have the oppurtunity to teach kindergarden through 2nd grade at the local school, the Cadadian Gov was running the school here in the village but they ran out of funding and just abandoned the program, so the only way for these kids to have K-2 is for COTN to teach them. We are also Doing home visits with some of the local tribe villages, going to their houses and doing whatever the family wants to do. Whether it be helping them do dishes, cooking, playing with the kids or just singing and dancing we are blessed to have the opportunity of just living with these people even if it is for a few hours a day. The girls have the opportunity to work with widows, making scarves and hats with them, just being relational with these women who so desperately just want to be with people.

This month we will defiantly be busy, COTN has been very good to us, providing us with food and shelter (or at least a place to tent). I am looking forward to the rest of this month of ministry and defiantly will be keeping everyone posted.
