So we just got back today into Nelsprite South Africa coming off of debrief. I am okay, and it has been a very different month of ministry. We haven’t had internet all month because we were in the “bush”, working with a tribe that many people have never seen white people. So sorry i haven’t been able to post but the situation has been kinda out of my hands, and i will be posting a lot of blogs soon, to catch everyone up.
This past month I had the month of the least amount of ministry time of the race yet, but it was the month of the most change in my life as well. We left for Vilanculos, Mozambque on the 9th of and after a 16 hour van ride we arrived at our contact house for the month. Jaco, and Maria were very welcoming to my team and the other 3 teams that were with us (AKA the S.K.I.M. squad standing for Spectical, Indelible, Manna, & Koinania), but because of the lack of communication they were having to rush to find ministry for us, so for a couple days we worked around their house just being a blessing to them and their family. We also made it a priority to minister to each other, having worship sessions everyday. When we finnally did make it to the bush in the village we were ministering to, we had to wait 3 days to actually do any ministry, because we were trying to figure out paper work with the government. So out of this month we had 7 days of “actual” ministry, which is kinda hard when you are out in the field but God provided.
We participated at a women’s confrence that lasted over the first weekend we were there and it became very appearant that these people didn’t know the gospel. Not even the pastor really knew that it is by grace that we are saved not works, the community had been over run with false teaching and lies. It was such a shock to go into a ministry expecting one standard and the total opposite being true. We really struggled this month to bring the Word of God, because we just wanted them to get it. to understand. The last day we were there was the most redeeming day of this past month. We had a Q&A time after one of the teachings and they got to ask the questions that were really on their hearts. We got to leave that tribe knowing that they heard the word of God, the Truth, and that his word does not go out void. I will be posting more soon. Thank you for your prayers and support.
