I have always been a dreamer. Growing up I had dreams all the time, and I can still remember some of the dreams from my childhood. Growing up I thought that everyone dreamed just as much as I did and it was just my mind running at night; Blaming weird or scary dreams on the movie I watched or food I ate before going to bed, but on the race my out look on my dreams has completely changed. I have learned that some of my dreams are from God and I am supposed to act on them.http://www.tornado-unit.com/forum/customavatars/9.jpg
Back in Thailand, I had a dream about the squad and in my dream I saw 3 tornadoes that were headed for the 4 houses we were staying at. The storms came, went and there was damage. No one was hurt but some of the houses were destroyed. After the storms pass there was clear skies. I had the dream right before Cosamet, and talked to Mike Pascal about it at debrief. I had no idea what to do with a dream like that because I had never really had one, he told me to pray about when to share it, but I didn’t feel like then was the right time. So I waited and had the dream again in L-A-O-S last month. So coming into this debrief I kinda thought I might be sharing my dream. Sure enough an opportunity arose, and I told the squad about my dream.
We came to the conclusion as a squad that the dream was nothing to be scared of but instead to be prepared for. I know that Africa is not going to be an easy continent for us and that there are going to be storms headed our way, and there already have been. I know that the Lord has big plans for us here and is going to change us more than we can even begin to imagine, because he is already starting. This past week has been crazy. We arrived in South Africa, not knowing what we were doing, and not having been given any instructions, but God has been more that faithful to provide and redeem. Our squad leaders, have prayed and fought for us, sacrificing time and energy, God has brought in people to guide us, and long story short we leave today for Mozambique. After being with my squad family for the past week and the preparation the Lord has given us I am excited about this month!  Dave wrote a more descriptive blog on just how God has provided for us this past week so check it out  dave’s blog.
