FAITH… My faith is being tested in raising money for this trip. I was a supervisor at my previous job, that I just recently quit for school. At the pay scale I was at with that job paying for my way on this trip would have been simple, but now I make about 150.00 a week and I struggle just to pay for gas. I know that God wants to be my provider, and I have to lean on that but it isn’t the easiest thing. I have only raise about 1000.00 and need 13000.00 more. I know that God has called me on this trip and so he will provide, it’s just hard to wait on God’s perfect timing.
PRAISE… The past two weeks are always the “crazy” weeks in my yearly schedule. the last week of July is my youth ministry’s Camp, which is a week of fun games, gross food, and of coarse God. It was amazing to see all the students grow, and genuinely seek after their Lord. I think this year we had about 500 students ages 12-18 from our church at camp, and the last night there wasn’t a single person not pushing past their comfort zone…amazing. Then two days after camp we leave for Fine Arts Nationals, which is an art competition for churches. There is everything from Drama’s, poetry, paintings, web design, to dance. It is always astounding to see how God moves to the students performances and how much students are changed by nightly devotions. They are two weeks of awesome!
PRAYER... Over the past week I have gotten very sick, and need prayer that I recover soon. I also need prayer for money to come in, and that everything would just line up with God’s will. Also this isn’t really a prayer request but it doesn’t fit the other categories either. It seems like a lot of stuff has been happen to me recently, for instance: this is my second time to be very sick in three weeks (and i usually don’t get sick), yesterday my pet fox died, and over fine arts I had had several things to figure out. So i guess my prayer would be that I would be able to grow out of all these situations.
