Where did the time go?! When I was accepted I thought there was too much time to kill before camp. Now, it’s only 2 days away…yikes!
Am I ready?
Well, let’s take a look at my check list:
- I’ve been to REI and various stores hunting down gear more than I ever wanted to do in my lifetime.
- I’ve rolled around like a mummy with a back itch in my sleeping bag.
- I’ve packed up my pack, wore it around, and checked myself out in the mirror.
- I’ve bought a stash of food in case they serve gruel at camp.
- I’ve searched for purple clothing in men’s sections without success, but finally found some at a thrift shop under the unisex section.
- I’ve prayed for my squad as a whole and for people individually.
- I’ve worried about the girls talking too much.
- I’ve wondered if there will be a guy who will be a true brother.
- I’ve stressed about camp being like a high school pep rally.
- I’ve pondered about where all the people are going to go to the bathroom.
- I’ve decided to have no expectations and just freestyle it.
Sooooo, I guess I’ll let you know after I get back if I was ready or not.
