Africa has been on my Heart for some time now. So much that I have not written anything else but about Africa. Never in my life have I seen a society where technology has little hold on a society other then everyone having a cell phone. Since coming to Romania, we have unlimited fast internet for free, the food is out of this world, everyone has a bed instead of sleeping in a tent, but I have been very uncomfortable being in comfort.
This reminds me of How Jesus finally decided that something was more important then getting that next paycheck or doing another project with Joseph then going home at the end of the day and have dinner with His “family.” He decided one day that It was time to do His Fathers will. He set down the Hammer and picked a one piece outfit and left everything. And I am so glad He did. I am so glad He gave up everything here on this earth to follow a road filled with, friends who would turn there back on Him, a whole nations government against Him, and many sorrows.
Everyday I here the words “we are so blessed. We have this and have that.” For the first time I don’t hate these times of having, but there is still that yearning for more than having nice stuff or having it all.
I have been, how do you say uncomfortable with being comfortable, I love comfort more than most people, but my heart longs for abandonment to a Cause, a Purpose. I have made a video with all photos since I did not have a camera for about two months, it was difficult to make a video let alone have access to a computer. Still I think the video speaks to how Africa has moved me to appreciate how God is in the Simple Things.
So the Question is What will you be doing with your life?
I still don’t have it figured out but I am making steps toward a Goal that leads me closer to seeing the Kingdom Come on this Earth Just as it is in Heaven.
I have been watching a series online that has a quote that reminds us that if we lose everything we should not give up and that God has given us the world, so go out and claim it for His Kingdom. The story Shows a Father and Daughter who have lost everything, but in their hearts they now have an open door to the rest of the world and nothing can stop them.
