Then I was pulled away by Paul to Help the Shopkeeper, Dave, to help him figure out the security system. This was like a dream come true. I have watched so much CSI shows that to be able to do what only professionals can do was amazing. There happened to be a break-in at the shop the other night. when we were here and of all the people to ask they ask me to help out. I am like, um, I have absolutely no experience in how to deal with this situation let alone run a security system. So prayer and trust that God is with me and Paul was all I had to lean on. When we got there we met a very cool man Jonah and then the Shopkeeper Paul.
We right away got to figuring out the system. We had no Idea what we were doing, We went through this excessively complex manual only to just be lost as to what we should do. It was by God’s grace that by a single click we were able to retrieve the lost footage of the crime in action. Praise God. While I was going through the footage I was able to talk to Jonah. Apparently he used to be a teacher, but now he is working in the shop. He is married to an aboriginal lady who is currently a teacher in the school we will be working at.
I never dreamed in the Outback Jungle, that a subconscious dream of mine to go through footage and catch a pair of thieves would ever come true. God seems to care about our subconscious dreams as well. Plus our contact said that my actions have furthered the Cause of Christ in our community and saved the Shopkeeper nearly a $1,000 dollars from having to bring in a professional to figure out the security system. Who knew that something so simple and fun would promote Gods name in the community and further the Cause of Christ in ways I still don’t comprehend.
