Hey Guys,

This post will be more of an update. God is doing too much to really encapsulate easily in words right now. We are in Thailand doing a month of “Manistry”. For those that don’t know it is basically all of the guys in our squad get together and the eleven of us are a team that does really manly stuff all month and has lots of adventure and discusses what it means to live an authentic christian life with radical passion and yet a heart of gentleness and quiet confident faith.

We are 8 km away from the river kwai at a small YWAM base in the town of Kanchana Buri. It’s been really good so far. Tres got bit by a little scorpion last night but we prayed and he is doing great today. The scenery is fantastic, almost out of a mythical tale sometimes, the mist covers a valley and veils the mountains in mystery. The sunsets set the sky ablaze with burnt orange last night. I love it. Every minute.

We have been talking lately about is there more? Like we get so content sometimes when we know there has to be so much more to this life. I have been tasting it but I want to just immerse myself sometimes in the beautiful and reality of God. Tres sleeps beside me and challenges me a lot to think more about my faith and really just live more fully alive.

We are building a new ministry building, laying the cement and the foundation and if we have time putting up walls and working on the second floor. Yesterday it was crazy, we went to a little creek bed and just started collecting rocks to mix with the cement. We gathered 100 big huge bags of rocks in several hours. Construction definitely has a different flavour around the world.

The Thai Water Festival and New year just took place on the 13-15 and it was so much fun. The whole country seems to just take a break for a big water fight. You have free reign to squirt anybody you want with a water gun. They also throw white powder on you for fun that washes off easily. We went swimming in the river Kwai (of movie fame) a couple days ago and it seemed the whole town was there enjoying the water in the midst of the heat. There was a 25 foot high bridge that a lot of us guys jumped off. It was a real rush.

Each day of life seems better than the last and I just can’t quite get over how good God is. There’s definitely a lot of hard moments too but lately I’ve just been in a really good mood and learning to really enjoy thankfulness. I want to enjoy each moment and savour every last drop. Thank you so much for being a part of this.

I still have more support to raise so if you would like to help and be a part of what God is doing in Asia I would appreciate it so much. God bless everyone!
