6 a.m. — My alarm sounds. … How did my toothbrush get there?

6:30 a.m. — Careful. The one the left doesn't flush.

7 a.m. — I cook breakfast for the team with Jake, toast and eggs again.

8 a.m. — Our contact is supposed to arrive. … We wait.

8:30 a.m.  — Our contact actually arrives.

9:23 a.m. — We leave on the minibus to ministry.

9:57 a.m. — We arrive at our ministry location and haggle with the minibus driver, a regular occurrence.

10:01 a.m. — We're invited into a random school to sign their visitors' book, also a regular occurrence. Whatever Jake is doing to Channele is normal, too.

10:34 a.m. — We begin ministry with a children's church/crusade under a beautiful pink flowering tree. The Prodigal sun runs away to a far-off land.

10:44 a.m. — The Prodigal Son comes home.

11:44 a.m. — We begin our second crusade — mostly to the same children who have followed us from their homes without any care or concern from their parents.

12:36 p.m. — We have an unscheduled crusade at a woman's house. It turns out she's a witch doctor; we cast out a demon, pray for her and the Spirit gives her a new life in Christ. (Out of respect for that woman, this photo is not of her; it is of her mother.)

1:30 p.m. — We say goodbye to our contacts for the final time.

1:45 p.m. — Lunch. Yeah, I use tupperwear. Yeah, I have a Life is Good Nalgene.

2:45 p.m. — I pack for Final Debrief!

3:20 p.m. — It's time to read and journal.

4 p.m. — Check in by the pool … Our living situations aren't always rough.

4:40 p.m. — We take bicycle taxis into town.

5 p.m. — Grocery shopping.

6:33 p.m. — Pizza dinner. Like I said, our living situations aren't always rough.

7:48 p.m. — Check the team finance spreadsheet with Mickey. Confirm that we have no money.

8:15 p.m. — Team time and worship time.

10:37 p.m. — In my tent, headphones in to keep out the barking dogs, and ready for beddy.
