This name of Jesus means literally one who provides. When I signed up for the race I wondered how? How will I find the funds? How will God provide? It’s a funny question asking God how. You may be asking God that today. Growing up poor I always question things when it came to money. Somehow today we think money handcuffs God. That somehow it’s puts God in bondage and keeps Him from freely doing what He wants. God laughs at the question “how”, Or the question “can”. We often question the Creator and His power especially with the matters of money. Which is funny to me. You see, we forget who we truly serve!
Last month my deadline of 11000 was not yet met. It was crunch time and with a week left until the due date I was 1500 short. So me and my team one day decided that every hour we would stop whatever we were doing that day and pray for God to provide the money. Over the next four weeks I saw 8500 dollars come in. God provided! Who says God can’t or won’t? Money.. the faith killer.
I want to encourage you. If you have put handcuffs made of money on God, take them off. Because the real thing your handcuffing Him with is your lack of faith. God is provider! My life testifies it. Those who know me well know that this is much deeper that the support I have recieved on the race.
I want to thank my church family my friends and all the other believers who have supported me in prayer and finance. Not just over the race but over the course of my life. God used you to accomplish His will. And let me tell you, God is moving in my heart to do things for His kingdom that flat-out scare me. I love you all and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Please continue to support me and follow me.
Remember God is our provider. When you need a reminder think of me.
