When I went to work the Tres Dias women’s retreat this past weekend, I was just going to work. At least that is what my mind said. God had other plans. I received so much love from all the amazing women. I realized God has the time for everything. We do not need to try and fix things but trust him ALWAYS. I am just simply amazed of everything he does and how he always shows up when we need him the most.
I was stressed Thursday and Friday because I had to have my first money deadline for mission trip by Friday 9/24/16. I told God that I was at retreat for me and I was there to feed my spirit. I told him that I needed him to either touch someone to help me out or to just do something. I told him that I did not want a distraction to what he had for me that weekend. I did not want the money issue to stop me from receiving the blessing he had for me. I surrendered my weakness and anxiety to him (and that I really was). I am not easily giving in and quitting this journey that God has set for me. That Friday evening I just happened to go in my car and was in hope that a miracle had happened. Well it DID. My team squad leader stated in the group messaging that because of all blessings and monies coming in, the deadline was extended. WOW!!!!! I understood that was only God that allowed that. I was able to let go. God worked in my life the entire weekend. Only he is the answer. Then on Monday I got more great news regarding this fundraising. Again, WOW!!!
And to top it off, God confirmed that when it is his time he will provide. Within 2 days and 2 different people, I heard the story below. WOW!!!!!! I understood It will be at God’s time and I just need to be patient and trust him.
Corrie’s Father’s Train Ticket
Corrie ten Boom’s father to her, when she was a young girl:
“Corrie, when you and I go to Amsterdam,
when do I give you your ticket?”
“Why, just before we get on the train.”
“Exactly. And our wise Father in heaven knows when we’re going to need things too. Don’t run out ahead of Him. When the time of need comes, you will look into your heart and find the strength you need — just in time.”
Corrie, later in life, after the concentration camp:
“God will give us the grace and power we need —
the money for the train ticket will arrive
just the moment we are to step on the train.”
When Jesus takes your hand
He keeps you tight.
When Jesus keeps you tight
He leads you through life.
When Jesus leads you through life,
He brings you safely home.
