Imagine your heart beating out of your chest, as you climb into a tiny plane.. There are three other people in your plane, including your sister. You’re the person sitting by the door that seems to have a hard time latching. As the plane starts up, you can feel the engine vibrating in your back.. (doesn’t help the anxiety).. as you take off, you look down and slowly see that big world start to get a little smaller, you close your eyes and pray… because not only are you praying for yourself.. you’re praying for one of the people in your life that you just wouldn’t be the same without.
You close your eyes for what may be a few minutes and then as you open them… you look out.. YOU are flying…
High above the clouds. Looking down on the world. It’s the closest you’ve ever felt to GOD. One of the few moments where you are the happiest you’ve ever been.

As the door swung open, your tandem jumper points to the step where you are supposed to place your feet and as he counts in your ear…

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (THAT’S MY STORY) I could feel my heart beating in my ears.. I can’t say that I remember much of those first few seconds, but as my tandem jumper tapped really hard on my shoulder and pointed.. I looked up.. and saw a tiny rainbow in the shape of a circle.
That was GOD…
Speaking to me and telling me … Hey, i’ve got you and your sister wrapped tight in my circle, have NO fear..
and all the fear was taken away! Just like that. God is the best:)
We all have our worries.. and believe me, there are plenty when it comes to preparing for this adventure.. BUT as I step out into the vast wideness of this WORLD RACE adventure, as I did when I jumped out of that plane.. I’m keeping the same mindset, God would’ve never let myself or any of my squad members JUMP into this adventure, if he didn’t have that circle wrapped around us 🙂
He loves us and wants us here you all! Never lose faith in that!
BUT… I can also tell you, having jumped out of a plane 3 times.. Skydiving has nothing on the excitement that I have to go on THE WORLD RACE!
