I enjoy hiking and love to share the joy with my friends and family. The views from the top of the mountains are always worth the hike! On June 2, 2013, three friends, my sister and I went hiking.

Originally, we were heading to Harriman state park (NY), but we missed our exit, and ended at Bear Mountain. We decided to hike the Appalachian Trail (white trail) of the Bear Mountain. I was excited to lead my first hike.

The hike up was pretty rocking and very challenging for everyone. We saw a few snakes.

The higher we hiked, the more gorgeous and beautiful the view became.

Once we reached the top of the mountain to the Towel, all the scares from the snakes were worth it! The view was gorgeous, peaceful and enjoyable. As evidence of the pictures below, we were smiling and loving the experience!!!

Heading back down the mountain, we continued on the white trail with the understanding that it will lead us back to where we started. After a few hours of hiking, we started to wonder how come it was taking us so much longer to reach parking lot. We have not seen another hiker for miles; it did not click our mind that maybe we were going the wrong way. After all, we were following the white trail; it must be the right way down.

We were hiking up and down what seems to be 2-3 mountains, but still we kept going. When we finally saw a few hikers, we were told we were almost there, so we kept going and going.

(The picture shows how far away we have hiked from the Towel.)

We were lost in the mountain all alone. We ran out of water. Our bodies were tired and in shock.  We were hot and eventually started to worry a little.

We needed a Miracle!!

And that is when God showed up!! His timing is always perfect!

He led us to the interstate highway, where we decided to call the Bear Mountain police to pick us up. We laugh about getting lost, but it could have been worse….

On top of running out of water, we could have had no service on our phones (by the way right after we called for help, our phones ran out of service) and we could have been cut in the dark and the rain with no head-lamps to guide us through the mountain.

Talk about God’s timing being perfect!!

As it gets closer to launch date, July 4th, I am reminded every day to not worry or be anxious, but to PRAY and Listen to God, because everything will workout in His Perfect Timing!

Is there a time in your life where God showed up at the Perfect Timing? Please share I want to hear about it.
