Hey guys! So I am super excited to follow my call to be a missionary in the World Race. A little about how I got to this point…I was working at a local coffee shop last year when I began intentionally praying and considering how I could best use the way God has gifted me in passion and desire for His glory when a co-worker told me about Adventures in Missions, specifically The World Race. After learning more about the missions program and talking to one of my friends about his experience, I decided that if it was the Lords plan for me than it would happen in His time. This last November, it became clear to me that God was ending the previous season only to open a new one. I became extremely passionate about living a life of intentional service and love to those that haven’t experienced the unconditional love of God. In this, my ultimate desire is revealing Christ and the gospel to others. As I began to pray about where this would take me, God laid The World Race on my heart. After two months of intentional prayer, I felt like God was calling me to love the nations as a missionary with Adventures in Missions on The World Race. If you do not know at this point, my route will cover what is called the 10/40 window. The 10/40 window covers North Africa, Middle East, and Asia. It is located between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. Hence the name, 10/40 window. This area covers people groups and cultures that are in desperate need of the gospel. It is home to the majority of the world’s unevangelized countries.
So I need help! I want to be obedient to Christ call in my life but I will need your help. Knowing that I will need a ton of love and support during this process I would love it if you would consider partnering with me. What does that look like? There are a few different ways. If you feel like God is calling you to love the nations through your support to me you can:
1. Pray
God is doing an amazing work in these places already. Pray for the locals, that God will ready their hearts to be loved and served. That any work that is done there in His name will open their eyes to Him and that God will be glorified. Pray for my team, that everyone will reach financial goals and that we will ready our hearts for the work that God is about to do in us and through us. I joined the team as soon as I felt God’s lead and calling. However, our launch date is quickly approaching in approximately two months. Pray that I will trust Him with this seemingly daunting task but that He will also provide.
2. Give
I know that I will face many challenges, one of the biggest challenges will be financial support. Similar to many missions organizations, the World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded I will need to raise, $17,500. This money will include all my expenses for the entire 11 months of the trip. As I pursue God’s calling to participate on this trip and step out in faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me with either a monthly donation or a onetime donation?
