This is the first time I've had internet in a while.

Here's a picture from the last day that we had at Rosa de Amor.

I'm going to miss these kids!

I had a hard time finding myself in this picture…

We left from Antigua, Guatemala on November 10th and took a 15 hour bus ride into Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

B-Squad loves eachother very much.

We drove through El Salvador to get to Honduras. When we left Guatemala and crossed the border, we had to get out to get our passports stamped. Immediately upon exiting the bus, we got bombarded with people trying to sell us things, exchange currency, and con us out of our passports. There were 2 close calls to B-Squad being conned out of passports, but they were re-claimed.

The first night we arrived, we had the entire squad sleeping in this building. It used to be one of the biggest night clubs in Tegucigalpa, notorious for drugs, sex, and whatever crimes you can imagine. But now, a ministry called Zion's Gate has purchased the property and wants it to be claimed for God's Kingdom. Tony and his wife Nidia live on the property and have taken in kids off the street. There are so many kids on the street here. The statistic I heard is 80% of birth certificates in the country do not have a father's signature on them. It's not uncommon for multiple children to share the same mom but have different fathers who they don't know and will probably never know.

There's a ton of work to be done in this country, and God can redeem the brokenness here. Because of all the violence in the country, Honduras makes rank as one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

Because of how dangerous we're told the country is, I haven't taken my camera with me as much as I normally would. Tony tells us it's just better not to create temptation for people. People get robbed at knife-point all the time by youth on the street who want money to buy glue or paint thinner to huff- the drug of choice here.

B-Squad is here to make an impact while we're here.

Tony is an awesome guy. His motto is "Don't miss the opportunity." His focus is on relationships and taking care of what God has put on his plate at any given time. Jesus is all about the one. Tony's focus is about making an impact on the country by building relationships, rather than only focusing on porjects. There's a lot to be learned while we're here for the month; I'll do my best to keep y'all updated on the work we're doing here.

Prayer Requests:

– Saftey wherever we go. Honduras is dangerous.

– Continued good health; praise the Lord I haven't gotten sick.

– That I would be able to speak life into the boys that come into Tony's ministry. Many of the boys don't have positive male influences in their lives, so it's important that I speak life into them and don't miss opportunies to share Christ's love with them.

– Team Freedom is working at the church Tony attends, Ministerio Resurrecion. Pastor Nicholas has been Pastor over the church for the three years that it has been there. We want to pour as much into him as we can.

– Though we may be teaching English and playing soccer in the community of Los Pinos where the church is at, our focus is to build relationships with people who live there. People have said that Los Pinos is a lost cause for any good to come out of it, but with God, no person or community is beyond hope.

– There's a woman named Katy that we prayed for in Los Pinos. She hasn't been able to walk because of crippling injuries to her spine from a bus accident a year or so ago when a bridge collapsed. We are praying for her healing and know God is able. We want to see her walk.

That's all I have for now,
I love you all!

stay tuned!
