I *think* we may be spoiled for our first ministry contact here in Guatemala.

We're definitely spoiled.

Al Hogar Rosa de Amor is way more than I ever expected it to be. We have hot water, toilets that flush well (without toilet paper of course), three meals a day, electricity, and of course….

Niños! Niños! Niños!

Mama Rosa is so very sweet. She has such a grand vision for this home. The first time we met her, she shared her heart with us. She recognizes that everything she has, we have, comes from the Lord. She doesn't just want to provide a place for kids to eat, sleep, and play but to have a place to find safety and rest that only the Lord can provide.

In this place the kids will learn more about who God says they are, not what the world has taught them. What abusive experiences have taught them. What being abandoned has taught them.

There are kids here who came in naked. beaten. sexually abused. emotionally abused. neglected. and so much more that I don't even know about.

But these kids are LOVED and VALUED, as they are children of God.

I have hope that by being here, Team Freedom will impact these kids lives for not only the month that we are here, but eternally. For God's Kingdom.

I love photos. Here are a few to share:

This is Oliver, or Ollie.
He's 3 years old.
He loves to tumble and flip… all over me. 🙂
He kisses me on the nose and tells me, "Te amo señor."

MELTS. MY. HEART.

Baby Rosita.

Miguelito is sweet. He hugs you and wishes you goodnight after dinner.
He loves to be held and is soft spoken.
But… he loves to DANCE!

This is Katerin, or Katy.
She's full of energy and loves to play hand clapping games.
She loves to sing, dance, and talk with you.

This is Carolina.
She loves to play 'en serio,' aka the staring game;
first person to laugh, loses.
She's pretty good at it.

This is Pablo. He's autistic, but has such a joy to him.
He'll sit quitely and smile and play instruments.

So, with limited internet, and the need to share,
that's all for now.

Stay tuned.

Guatemala. Out.
