Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”

Romans 12:9-21 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. On the contrary: ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Cling to what is good and do not let go. Never lack zeal (enthusiasm, passion, eagerness), but keep fervor in serving the Lord. Don’t let the devil confuse you with thinking that serving and growing closer to God is anything less than extraordinary. Do not be deceived by evil but rather hate it. Always be eager to pray. Know that God is in control and seek him for guidance. Be in continual conversation with him. Recognize that everything God brings is good. Let this revelation bring you joy, peace, and hope.

Have a sincere and genuine love towards everyone around you. Be devoted to those who God has placed in your life. Do not be proud of conceited, but think of everyone as better than yourself. Be eager to have communion with anyone who is lower than you. Have unity with those around you. Share their joys and carry their burdens. Seek true empathy. Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. If you see anyone lacking anything, be eager to give to them. Do not hesitate, but spread God’s love to his people. Be generous to others and welcome them in with open arms. Show extreme hospitality whether it is the first time you have met them or the one hundredth time. Look to everyone’s best interest and find what is good for everyone. Be careful to not harm anyone.

Make sure to live in harmony with everyone. Do not have any enemies. Do nothing that is evil. If someone does evil to you, don’t fuel the fire with more evil. Don’t seek revenge. Instead, relinquish it with love. Think about it; is there anyone who you are not at peace with right now? Anyone? Is there anything that you can do to bring peace? Be eager to do what is in your ability no matter how hard it may be. Do everything you can to bring friendship with those who curse you. Find ways to serve and bless anyone who does wrong to you. Seek out ways to show them love. If they are hungry, feed them your best. If they are thirsty, quench their thirst abundantly. Just as God is good to you, be good to them.

But, if they still chose to hate you, take heart in knowing that God is in control. He is a good father. He will not let anyone harm you be unnoticed. He doesn’t take it lightly when someone harms you. Be patient during times of mistreatment. All evil will see God’s wrath in its proper time. It is God’s job to avenge. The Lord will take care of you. He will bring you justice. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

By doing these things, you are shall resemble the love of God. You will no longer be recognized as someone from this world but rather God’s precious daughter.
