Vietnam is very comfortable.
This month is all around a time of rest, from our home being a hotel, to transportation being bicycles, to church being in English!
How did we get so lucky?!
Last month, an extreme contrast, seems so long ago. We had no toilets, no sinks, no soap. No internet, no choice of food, no hot water.
What we did have was family. A great thing to have at Christmas time!
Here in Da Nang, we also have a good community around us. Our work has been relaxing: painting and throwing fun birthday parties at various children’s homes.
Every day we have the and the option to relax and recharge in our comfortable, clean hotel rooms.
Recharging has been somewhat of a theme for this month, coming from a busy, stretching month, and anticipating another stretching month. Let’s face it, we will probably not be in a cush, posh part of India!
With less than a week left of our time in Da Nang, I am constantly reminding myself to stay present and enjoy this.
I don’t deserve these comforts, and will not always have them. But I have them now!
So, for now, I will take in every cozy moment in my bed with white sheets, enjoy the freedom to bicycle to a coffee shop, and appreciate the ability to Facebook whenever. All the while, praising the L–d for these undeserved gifts.
