Hi all! WiFi this month is dismal, but here is a brief description of our accommodations this month. Love you people!

Our living situation is really good this month! We are at Camp Sinai with Grow Asia, run by an American family. They set everything up and are around every few days, but our main contact is Rhayan, a Filipino and the karaoke king of his village. Fun fact: his 4th child is about 10 days old!

Camp Sinai is up in the woods, so besides the animals and pastor’s 4 little kids it’s nice and quiet. We have a room with bunk-beds for sleeping, and another just for our stuff. We are cooking all our own meals, so we have 2 gas burners, a toaster and a mini fridge. The bathrooms have 4 shower stalls, 6 toilet stalls and 6 sinks! Sometimes the water runs out, and that’s a big pitfall, but it’s always back by morning.

Manila was so hot, but up in the mountains of San Mateo it’s a lot cooler. One evening I got goosebumps because there was a slight breeze.

The people are so great! It’s interesting to see their cultural differences. The pastor’s kids call us ‘Atay’ which means older sister. Besides that and ‘Salamat Po’ (thank you, ma’am), I haven’t learned any Tagalog. It’s like a fusion of Asian and Spanish!

All in all it’s great. We’re so blessed, and looking forward to getting more and more into ministry!
