This is our beginning.
Launch consisted mostly of big hellos, sessions, more sessions, worship, some down time, and more sessions. One thing is becoming increasingly clear, and that's that God has me on the team I need to be on. Getting to spend time with the ladies of team Tikkun Olam is always fun, and I can't wait to do life with them! In fact, after one training session in particular, I even can't wait to get into conflict with them! (And to consequently grow from resolving that conflict.) It's clear this team really wants to be intentionally growing and sharpening each other, pushing each other close to God. Sound like a good community to be immersed in for a while? I think so!
On Sunday we arrived in Quiché, Guatemala for our first official country of ministry. Quiché is believed to be a future launching pad for Guatemalans to preach to the nations. Right now, they need an installment of passion and inspiration of Christ's love and peace. So with God's help, that's what we hope to bring them.
We have already played with adorable kids, some soccer and just running and jumping, brought food to people at the hospital (on the land of which we are staying), and made our way through the markets of gritty Guatemala. This is NOT a North American frequented area!
A few days in and we are loving life, locals, and the Lord every step of the way. Please pray that we will continue to be diligent in seeking the Lord as we all desire more intimacy with our Father. Also pray for our ministries, that we can bring God´s light wherever we go. Thank you, God bless!
