It's time for an update/random fact blog! Let's start from where I left off in my travel blog. Friday nite they had a coffee house here at base. Carly did her spoken word and Lauren sang. It was cool. Saturday morning we helped clean. I did dishes for at least 3 hours. That afternoon, we all decided to go get our noses pierced. Well first, my whole team decided to do it and then we talked all but one of the girls on the other team to do it too!
We also went clothes shopping. I managed to find 2 tunics to wear with leggings for church. It looks like I won't be able to get a sari. I don't really have the money. 🙁 Oh well. Sunday morning, we went to church with one of the YWAM-ers. Katie gave her testimony and Michael sang. They both did really well. This morning, Michael, Stacy, and I went to the 'Study center' to 'tutor' kids. Yeah, right. We went to a preschool and had to teach classes. Michael and I ended up in the 4 year old class by ourselves. We had to work on the alphabet (A is for apple) and help them prepare for a government-run test tomorrow. We survived…barely. I think Michael will have nightmares. Haha, but no it was actually really cool. It is mainly slum kids but they speak 2 languages (Tamil and English) and are learning two more (Hindi-the official language of India and Kannada -the official language of this state in India [Karnataka]). The parents of these kids are a wide range of religions but they still agreed to let their children be taught about Jesus. It is a great ministry. We will be working there two days a week I think. This afternoon, the rest of our group is going on home visits.
OK, on the random facts:

- No I wasn't anywhere near the earthquake or the bombing.
