One Week. That's it. I fly out of the country next Monday. I don't think its truely sunk in yet. I have short episodes where I go into panic mode about it but then its back to not being real. I feel totally unprepared. I'm just trusting God to help me through this because there is no way I can do it. I have reached my second goal, which means I at least get to go for the first 3 months. I've given it over to God (finally, I know!). If he only wants me to go for the 3 months then I accept that. At least I get to hit Romania and India!
I have been trying to get monthly donors: no luck whatsoever. I think I have 4 people. I had two fundraisers this past weekend that we have been advertising at church for like a month. I have asked and asked people if they were going to be there and they all insinuated that they would. No one showed up. I had a total of 8 people at the movie night (including my parents) and the only ones that showed up to help with the Car wash were Cindy and John (and Dad and David). If John hadn't of gone and kidnapped vehichles of the ladies at Fantasic Sams and called several friends of his, we wouldn't have had any cars to wash. Not one person from church or any of my friends came to get their cars washed. It hurt, I'll be honest. It sucks when you feel like you don't matter; especially when you are told they'd be there but they couldn't even call or text to let you know they couldn't make it. I guess this sorta helps with the leaving though. It wasn't as sad to have my last Sunday at church as I thought it would. Anyway, rant over. Moving on.
