I want to share with you some personal stories from this month.
Not my storiesI want to tell you some of the stories of the people Ive met and the circumstances Ive encountered.
The story of the World Race isnt just about the ministry assignment we have each month or the personal growth that I am walking through, and it certainly isnt just about the sometimes humorous cultural exchanged we have around the world.
The story of the World Race is the story of real people in real life circumstances around the world.
The story of the World Race is the story of the Body of Christ, your brothers and sisters.
There are many stories to tell.
Stories of tears gliding down a cheek,
and stories of white smiles and bright eyes from ebony faces
in the shadows of adobe houses.
Stories of a girl
who at times is overcome by evil spirits,
sent by a witch doctor to take revenge on the mother.
Stories of a man
who hadnt prayed to God in years,
but for some reason, the night before he just decided to ask God for help,
and then we came showing up at his door the next day.
He submitted his life to Christ.
Stories of speaking truth in love
not just to a persons mind,
but into the depths of their soul
not in a stuffy formulaic way, but in a dynamic, Spirit-guided way.
Stories of struggle.
Stories of pain, sadness, hurt, loss.
Stories of victory and triumph.
Stories of need.
Stories of provision.
Stories of joy.
Stories of redemption, salvation, and repentance.
Stories of encouragement and hope.
Stories of love.
Stories of life
Most of all, the story of God.
In the next few blogs, there will be just some of the stories from this month. I do encourage you to read through these stories. I have chosen 4 because they are the most touching for me from this month. I will never forget these people. And through my words, you get to meet them too, and hopefully be at least partially changed as much as I am for meeting them.
