The
overdue update is always difficult…
Last
you heard, I was moving to Georgia to begin working with Adventures
in Missions (AIM). Well, I have been living in Georgia (Gainesville
to be precise) for almost exactly a month now, and I am loving
it!

I
live in a really big old house, sitting right on Lake Lanier. Yeah
I might be rooming with SEVEN
other guys, but trust me it’s awesome.

The
view from my window each morning looks like this.

I
am surrounded by incredible people who passionately love Jesus, and
push me to go deeper in my faith.
The
weather has been incredible. I am not missing the Midwest winters!

And
I absolutely LOVE my job. I am honestly living my dream right now.
Allow me to explain…
Back
in August, I began to pray and dream about what I wanted for my
future. After significant time with the Lord, I found out where my
heart was leading.
-
I
wanted mentorship by a wise, mature, and challenging man of God. -
I
wanted to work for a business. But not just any business.
Specifically a small, entrepreneurial, socially conscious company. -
I
wanted responsibility that I couldn’t handle, and would have to rely
upon God all the time. All the while learning, growing and
stretching a ton. -
I
wanted a dynamic working environment where I’m forced to quickly adapt,
and experience many different facets of business.
I
also realized that my greatest passion is seeing others come alive.
I found it’s not so much what I’m doing that really brings me
joy. It’s helping bring joy to those around me that truly makes
me come alive. If I could only find a job where I could do all of
those things…I would be living my dream…
Well,
three months later…enter Kingdom Dreams.
The Kingdom Dreams War Room
-
I
am being mentored by Seth Barnes, the founder of AIM -
I
am working for a “missions business” called Kingdom Dreams. An
entrepreneurial venture inspired from Seth, consisting of a team of
9, and the vision of
seeing
a generation fully alive,
by
connecting people to their God given passions so their kingdom
dreams might be realized. -
I was given control
over the entire public face of Kingdom Dreams as the Marketing
Director (Seth just left for a World Race debrief for 10 days and
named me the interim CEO…talk about in over my head!) -
Every day this beast of
a project changes, and I am gaining my experiential MBA as we speak.
In summation, my job is
to see others come alive by connecting them to their calling, through
what brings them the most joy and satisfaction. Yeah…I’m pretty
blown away to.
Ladies and
gentleman….this is called living the dream.
