I’m in New Zealand!!!

So yeah,
it’s pretty crazy to think that I am halfway around the world right now.  And honestly, what I am about to do really
hasn’t set in with me yet.  It feels more
like I’ll travel around for a few weeks and then come back home lol.

Anyway…New Zealand is
pretty great.  Pretty much everywhere you
look it is GREEN.  The whole
country seems to be mostly rural.  Green
rolling hills with lots of cows and sheep pretty much dominated the scenery on
our bus ride from the airport.  At our
location though we are surrounded my mountainous hills (You get the idea right
; ))  which makes for pretty good
scenery.

I’ll be
posting soon about our ministry assignment soon, its pretty rad.  Ahhhhhh, I can’t believe I’m doing this.  This is so incredible.  I’m literally traveling around the world
sharing the Gospel.  If you are about to
graduate, or you don’t like your job…you should probably do this. It’s gonna be
awesome!!

Last but
not least, I have some big time prayer requests!

So first
off, I have been thinking and praying a lot about my team and God has laid on
me two things that will be huge for us.

 1)  We need to be a team of humility.  And not just in the sense we always think of,
but more so in the sense that without God we are helpless.  All to often we do lots of things “for” God
without involving Him in what we are doing!
The truth is we could travel around the world and serve people in our
own strength.  But that is not what we
want.  We want everything we do to be explained
only by the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives.  That man could not mimic the things we do
because God is working so powerfully.
Please pray that we would never trust in our own abilities or strengths,
and even in the seemingly simplest acts of service, that we would trust God in
all.  Pray that our attitude would always
be, on my own I cannot, but through God I can.

  2) Unity – God
has seriously laid this on my heart for my team.  That we would be so united in Christ that we would
live out the community modeled in Acts.
That we would give and serve each other, always esteeming each other
better than ourselves.  That we would be
of one purpose, one mind, and one accord.
Please pray for a spirit of true unity would pervade our team.  Pray that we would live like the Bible says
in “harmony” and once again that this harmony sounds so sweet to the world that
it cannot be credited by anything but the Spirit of God working in us.

I’ve
only been here for a little over 24 hours so I’ll have much more to report
later.  As for now, its back to
business.  We are having a finance and
logistics meeting, talk to you soon!
