First and foremost I want to praise god for giving me such an awesome opportunity to do some real kingdom work!
I’ve never had to blog before, so haha,here it goes! I was born March 30th
,1989 in Fayetteville, GA and I’ve lived here pretty much my whole
life. I have amazing parents, an older brother, and 3 best friends.
I pretty much live a normal life which mostly consists of church,
friends, and work.
Growing
up I was always taught about Jesus. I remember going to Sunday school
with my brother and then big church with mom and dad I thought that
Jesus was superman, i basically looked at him like a comic book hero.
The thing, i still didn’t “know” that Jesus loved me more than I could
imagine and that he would be my future best friend and savior. Around 7th
grade I was introduced to a ministry that reached out to middle school
students called “Realdeal” at my local church. I learned so much more
about Jesus. I learned how he died for me, that he had risen and sent
his holy spirit on all men. I thought that I had it all figured out,
that I was going to heaven by just believing in him, but still
conforming to worldly ways. As my age progressed so did the deadline of
Realdeal ministry. I was going into the high school so no more
Realdeal. High school went by like a flash, and I continued to live in
my worldly ways. it seemed that i always acknowledged Christ, but
rarely acted in obedience. I would often call to him for brief comfort
for my failures. Back then I didn’t know that he loved me and longed for
a radical relationship with me! During college I started to attend a
small church named Corinth just down the road. The first time
I attended, it seemed like the preacher was speaking directly to me in
other words, God was speaking directly to me. The message was telling me
how much I thought I knew, and how I really didn’t know that much at
all. I began to get into the word every day, actively answering the
calling in my heart that was growing considerably more each day! I had
to read, I had to find out what God was about and who Jesus said he was!
I remember coming home and reading the bible a book that teaches you
how to live forever!! i thought to myself, “are you kidding me?! This is
incredible!” Haha! as i continued to read i realized that i needed to
be baptized to seal the deal. So that next Sunday I was baptized and
prayed a prayer in my heart that has forever changed my life and made me
know that GOD is for me.
He is patient with me
He is in love with me
He is my passion
He is my strength.
He is my King
He is my Father
He is my love forever and ever amen!
