My name is Daniel Chantlos and I am 27 years old.  I have lived in Florida all of my life and have enjoyed every minute of it.  My whole life has involved being part of the church.  My parents have been incredible role models for me and have really shown me what it means to walk with God daily.  I have known Jesus Christ as my person savior since I was five years old.  I really started living out my own personal faith in the 8th grade.  I became very active in my youth group during my high school years.  That is when I started working with local mission groups in the Tampa area.  I received my first chance to go overseas when I was in college.  I spent 10 days in Haiti in 2003 and loved every minute of it.  The people there were amazing and the children were adorable.  We spent our days building a church and our nights preforming in the streets and preaching the Good News.  From the moment I left I knew that I wanted to return.  Six years later I got my chance.  I went back with a group called Living in Faith.  We went there to help a local church and outreach group.  We ran pipelines from the main well to four other villages.  Providing clean water is just one way to show God’s love to people.  Two months later I was able to spend ten days on the Amazon River.  Our group traveled up and down the river serving and ministering to local villages.  I was able to hang out with the children mostly.  It was a blast seeing the joy on their faces when we pulled up to the shore.  I have spent the last two and a half years as a Middle School Minister at my church, Van Dyke.  I love my job.  I get to hangout with middle school students all the time.  It was set up to be a three year position.  So about a year ago I started praying about what the  next steps would be in my life.  I knew that I have a heart for missions and a heart for youth.  A friend told me about The World Race so I started to look into it and pray about it.  God’s timing worked out perfectly in my life as it always has.  For now I can only sit back and wait to see what new things God wants to do in my life.
