We arrived at launch!!! The world race was finally beginning for us all!! People were hugging everywhere and catching up for last 2 months since training- everyone was asking each other pretty much the same things- " how have you been?" " how was leaving home?" " are you ready?" and " are you jet lagged" lol Launch was a great time of coming together again and getting ourselves ready for going- it was very much like a mini training camp 🙂 we got amazing teaching and yet again some of the most incredible times of worship i have ever experienced!! One of the nights we got in to deep worship were we we all chanting " we are the sons and daughters" the power in those words are insane!! We are the sons of daughters of God!! The power in it is amazing knowing that He is mu Dad – the king of kings is my father and i am a royal priesthood!! As we sung this i started to have flashbacks of times with my mum and dad. Simple times with them whether just sitting with them like any normal night or cuddling into my mum on my last night before i left or watching my dad as he does his best to try and find me the best things for my trip to make sure i am safe and sorted!! The simple things that i take for granted but these are the things that make me feel safe and at comfort -having mum and dad makes me feel safe without knowing it – its what i know! So in the middle of singing we are the sons and daughters i thought of them and the things they do for me and the people they are- i then felt God saying to me " i feel all those things to and i look out for you and i hold you when you are sad" it felt amazing to know that He is coming with me on this trip and he has me – the way my dad would protect me as much as he can , my God will do the same and even more! i thank God for comfirmng this because knowing that He is with me and truly feeling His presence in that way has lifted a huge burden off my heart and now I don't feel so worried or as home sick as I thought i would be. I know i am going to have days that are going to be crazy hard- but to know that my lord is protecting me and holding me a is all I need to help me get through the hard days!!- thank you Lord!!!! We had ana amazing few days at launch and getting ready – we left on the Thursday night and walked to the bus stop with our heavy luggage- (lol i don't think there is any getting used to the weight of my bag haha i have ditched so much stuff already most of my toiletries, my towel, my jeans and pjs but its still over weight!!!) We got the bus to the train station waited for an hour for the train then got the train to miami and then a bus to miami airport! It Was a fun experience heavy going but fun! We slept all night in the airport was a rough sleep and the next morning i was a wee bit cranky!! We all checked in and hung around for our flight to get called – watching a few funny videos at the airport with Hugh and Robin kept me going and i enjoyed a good laugh it definitely woke me up haha! We were then on our way to Guatemala 🙂 Walking through Guatemala airport and looking out the windows i knew i was going to love it!!
