I just want to thank you for all the amazing support you have been to me these last couple years with the World Race and CGA! You have helped me get to so many places that I never even thought I would get the chance to go to! I cannot express how blessed I am by you all. I could not have gotten here without your help. The encouragement I have received through e-mails, phone calls, text messages, etc. have been such a light to me during the tough times. Through the times that I was in the hospital or on crutches, you all helped me be inspired to keep fighting for this journey. There were many times I could have come home from the Race but knowing people were fighting for me at home made me want to continue to push on. There were many instances where your encouraging messages brought me to tears because it was exactly what I needed to hear. Along with the hard times, you rejoiced with me seeing the work that God was doing!
Now (with the help of you all) here I am in Georgia, continuing on this crazy journey God has called me to. I have been growing and stretching in my leadership here and have been getting opportunities to do what I’m passionate about; working with people who have special needs. I have been involved with the Special Olympics bowling and even got to go to a dance for people who have special needs. Right now I am exploring more options with these things and seeing where God takes me! I came here mainly for leadership development, but had no idea that there would be so many opportunities to do what I am passionate about as well! This all wouldn’t have been possible without your help.
