My team and I have now been in Costa Rica for a little less then a week! It has been absolutely amazing here! The beautiful people, the breath taking scenery, and all the amazing foods has made such an amazing first stop. Although it's been a bit hard for some of us to adjust to this new chapter in our lives, we have been absolutely blessed. This blog is to give you an idea of what we are doing this month.
We are living with a missionary family (the Folks) who are originally from the U.S. They have taken us into their home which is a cute, rustic cabin 6,000 feet above sea level located on the Irazu Volcano. Part of their ministry that we get to be a part of is discipling to people in villages on this volcano! 🙂 Last night a couple of us had the chance to go to this little village 9,000 feet up the volcano. It was amazing hearing some of their stories while being at a place that's located above the clouds!! 🙂 Some of the other ministry we get to do this month is helping at a school for missionary kids as well as visiting an orphanage. They kids at the orphanage are some of the most loving people I have ever met and have been through more than most adults I know. It really shows how much God's love can really help people. 🙂
